Was a time when you could tuck into this corner of the world, disappear, unwind, find peace of mind. You can still find it in the breeze pushing onto the beach, in the slow rhythm of the low waves, and the morning crowing of the chickens and roosters roaming the streets.
You can still find it in the sunrises and sunsets, in the weathered fishermen still plying the blue water chasing marlin and tarpon, in the rain that still blows in and occassionally floods the roads and the sea level homes. You can still find it in the sunshine that returns after even the heaviest rain, in everybody again searching for that quiet corner, begrudgingly plugging back in, making it a bit harder to find.
That sunset is an eternal reminder of what is good and true.
