Stripping away the abstractions, it’s just people making decisions and others paying the price. It’s hard not to question our own beliefs when you imagine that reality arriving at your doorstep. Great poem, Rich.

Thanks Dom. I wish it had been something that gave you a big smile to start your day!!!

Great poem, Rich. Describes clearly and beautifully how I, and I'm sure so many others, think and feel.

Thanks Tamala. Doesn't feel great these days. More like anvil on my chest every morning. Can't even imagine waking up in Gaza, Israel, Ukraine, Lebanon, Iran and so many other places. Hard enough waking up here to the war our administration is waging on us, on so many fronts!

It is coming to our doorstep! And it’s coming from within! Always enjoy the reflections from your view.

Yikes! Whether from within or out, prognosis is horrible!!!

Poignant commentary, Rich. We all need to keep the innocents on our minds. If only we had the power to keep our leaders on a leash of reason.

I stop reading, stop listening, and change the channel but I share your fears.
