The Symmetry & Artistry of Farming
Showing a deep understanding of lines and shapes and angles.
Farmers are natural artists and proven geometrists, deeply understanding lines and shapes and angles and the rich and beautiful power of creating long symmetrical rows that stretch across their land.
They know how to plant and water their crops in concentric circles, too, so their radiating sprinklers can cover their fields in highly efficient, sweeping loops, mimicking the second hand of a trusty watch.
They know how to intricately plant seeds in any orphaned corner in the farthest reaches of their farm, no matter their size or shape, then mindfully watch over them until their growth is complete.
They understand the urgency of the seasons and the reasons for getting their crops in the ground at the right time, maximizing the increasing warmth and moisture of spring, then appreciating the silence of watching them grow but dreading the anxiety of the unknown weather ahead. Then, when their lines and circles transform into row after row of tender shoots and sprouts, followed by stalks and leaves of every color of green, they thank the weather spirits for completing their artistry. Then they wipe their canvas clean, and joyfully do it again!
Amazing, what a topic and a focus. Farming is at once a refined science and a vocation of care and attention.
Nice!
