It's a lone tree, but not lonely, a sentinel stoically watching, taking stock of its distant river community.
Ospreys flying upstream with their daily catch, salmon flies fluttering in the grass and leaves of the overhanging trees, occassionally dropping into the calm water's edge, destined for consumption at any moment. The lone tree takes it all in, passes no judgement, marvels at every moment of everyday, but for now, just this moment, just this day.
This is a wonderful expression of a place.
A giving tree, for sure. Have you been forest bathing? I went yesterday at the SFBG. Transformative! You would love it. :)
